Before World War One Eugène Fuchs had an idea to sell perfumery products directly to tourists in the French riviera. Not to long after Parfumerie Fragonard was opened in 1926. Eugène Fuchs chose to name it after the famous Grasse-born painter, Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732-1806), as a tribute to both the town of Grasse and to the refinement of 18th-century arts. After over ninety years the company is still producing perfume for women as well as a line of scents for men. Using Pressed flower pedals and natural ingredients these affordable perfumes make perfect gifts, even for those with sensitive skin.
