Our lives are often bombarded with information and over-saturated with the bustle of daily life, yet we're constantly seeking for ways to disconnect. Our sister brand, Sömn Linen, will help you find the tranquillity and peacefulness that one seeks in modern lifestyles.
Our newest additions of Sage and Natural to our collection were inspired by the soft tones of raw, natural Vancouver landscape. Stripped down to the bare minimum, these colours will help you escape the every day and retreat to a calmer place.
Sage is our take on a subtle pastel green, designed to connect your home with nature. This tone historically communicated longevity and wisdom and is associated with rejuvenation. The soft greenish-grey shade easily pairs with more soothing colours (like muted blues or earthy browns). Sage is sure to bring a calm aura to any space it's in, and will help bring the outdoors indoors.
Natural celebrates our love of linen by introducing a natural undyed version of our linen bedding. The muted and reduced quality of this linen makes it pair well with shades of white or off-white tones. This “colour” will offer the greatest longevity and has a beautiful organic look.
Not only will the new colours bring a sense of freshness into your home, but the linen material also has a multitude of benefits. Most of the benefits stem from the fact that linen is a natural fiber that grows without the need for any herbicides or pesticides. This makes it more environmentally friendly and a renewable resource. Linen will also naturally regulate your body temperature and wick away moisture. Linen has a neutral pH balance and as a result is hypoallergenic and bacteria resistant. All of these qualities mean linen is one of the longest lasting natural fibers in the world.

The key to achieving and perfecting your sleep regimen is investing in the best quality sheets possible. There are so many reasons to love linen. Linen is soft and light, breathable yet keeps you warm during cold Vancouver nights.
Unfortunately, linen has a reputation for having heavy lint build-up or fading quickly, but there are ways to help minimize these problems. Linen is a material that cannot be washed the way other fabrics like cotton can be and must be uniquely cared for.
We have put together our best tips in a tutorial to help you keep your linen fresh and ultimately lasting longer.
HOW TO WASH YOUR LINEN SHEETS
Firstly, make sure you separate your linen colours to similar groups of colours. Whites with whites, darks with darks. It’s best to wash linens together and not mix them with heavier material.
Linen is a fast drying material, so if you are machine drying your linen, make sure that you do a short dry at a low temperature (anything under 30°C). We recommend removing your linen from the dryer while they’re still slightly damp to air dry until it completely dries to avoid stiffening your sheets.
Do not dry-clean or tumble dry under high heat, wring out or use bleach on your linen. This will damage them and shorten their lifespan.
Here's a quick tip for keeping your linen fresh-- use linen spray on your sheets between washes.
Super Frais Fragrance Mist is a classic fragrance that is one of our personal favourites, giving off an aroma of cedar and ylang-ylang
Kerzon, an eco-friendly home care company based in Paris, has an incredible line of fragrance mist that is light enough to be used on linen. One spray goes a long way, and can also be used on your body and as an air freshener in your home or car.
